Honey Oat Slices

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I love any combination of oats and honey so I can’t really believe it’s taken me so long to make these Honey Oat Slices. I’m already obsessed!

These would be perfect for a quick grab and go breakfast or for a snack during the day with your afternoon tea / coffee. They would also pass for a pretty delicious dessert!

This couldn’t be easier to make – just mix everything together in a bowl and into the oven! No whisking, no beating, no fancy gadgets – just delicious baked goods with zero effort.

Honey Oat Slices

Ingredients

  • 100g regular oats

  • 40g unsalted butter, melted

  • 60ml honey

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 egg, beaten

  • Pinch of salt

Directions

  • Heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and line a small baking dish with parchment paper. I used a 0.5 litre baking dish.
  • Mix all the ingredients together with a fork, pour into the dish and bake for 20 minutes until nice and golden.
  • Once cooked, remove carefully from the dish and leave to cool on a wire rack.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
